釣った数だけチヌとの会話があった
かかり釣りにのめり込んだのは30歳になってからで、40歳のときにＪＦＴチヌトーナメントに初挑戦し初優勝。以後の10年間で、優勝2回、準優勝2回、東レトヨフロン杯優勝などを記録。数釣りも好きだがどちらかと言えば大型指向。
かかり竿「TSUKASA」を製作する傍ら、一眼レフを片手にビッグワンを求めての遠征も多く、フィッシングフォトライターとして新聞、雑誌などの執筆活動も精力的。
